LEMOORE, Kings County — October 15, 2026. The City of Lemoore has scheduled its next municipal election for Tuesday, November 3. This year the two regular City Council contests are in District A and District C, according to the official City Clerk election page. They are different races, not a single contest open to every city voter.

Which Lemoore residents vote for a City Council member?

Under Lemoore’s five-district system, residents elect their representative only in the council district where they are registered. A voter in District A cannot vote for the District C representative, and residents of other Lemoore districts should not assume either council race is on their individual ballot. The city provides an interactive district map to help residents identify their district.

The city changed from at-large to district elections under its 2018 ordinance. Council members generally serve staggered four-year terms. Unlike cities with a directly elected mayor, Lemoore’s council chooses the mayor from among its members; the November ballot is not a separate citywide mayoral race. The official city council roster explains the arrangement.

Who administers the election and where are candidates certified?

The City Clerk manages nominations and campaign filings, while the Kings County Registrar of Voters conducts consolidated voting and provides election services. The official candidate filing window ran July 13–August 7, with a possible extension through August 12 for specified seats if an eligible incumbent did not file. Those are filing dates, not a current list of qualified candidates.

For ballot-printed candidate names, ballot designations and voting locations, use the county’s official sample ballot. The city lists Kings County Elections at 1400 W. Lacey Boulevard in Hanford, and provides the election office’s number (559) 852-4401. No candidate names are inferred here from current council membership.

What else can appear on a Lemoore ballot?

Statewide candidates, 14 statewide ballot propositions, federal and state legislative contests and any county or school district measures may apply depending on the registered address. See California58’s Kings County election guide and consult the official Kings County ballot for the final races.

California’s ordinary online registration deadline is October 19, but eligible people who miss it may qualify for conditional registration at authorized in-person locations. Election Day is November 3, with polls generally open 7 a.m.–8 p.m.
